TAIWAN FOLLOWS BELGIUM AS THE LATEST ELEVEN SPORTS MARKET TO SECURE LIVE & EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE OF MAYWEATHER vs. MCGREGOR

Taiwan has become the latest ELEVEN SPORTS market to secure LIVE and EXCLUSIVE online coverage of the blockbuster super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

The announcement follows the news last week that ELEVEN SPORTS had acquired the rights to show the fight featuring undefeated boxing world champion Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion McGregor exclusively live in Belgium.

The agreement further strengthens ELEVEN’s fight sports portfolio as it comes on the heels of the acquisition of rights to show all UFC events in Belgium on top of the multi-year agreement struck at the start of 2017 with Cage Warriors to show every event across all of ELEVEN’s markets in Europe and Asia.

Fans in Taiwan can secure exclusive online access to the fight, including the full undercard, via a FIGHT PASS subscription for a one-time payment of NT$199. Alternatively, an annual pass can be purchased for NT$719.

This will provide subscribers with coverage of Mayweather vs. McGregor plus full access to the world-class, premium action available on ELEVEN SPORTS in Taiwan including Premier League, Serie A, and Cage Warriors, as well as other sports that are popular in the local market including Lamigo Monkeys, Hanshin Tigers and top action from FIBA World Cup.

Existing annual pass subscribers will also have full access to the fight.

ELEVEN SPORTS SECURES RIGHTS TO ISA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS IN MULTIPLE MARKETS

ELEVEN SPORTS has secured rights in Belgium, Luxembourg, Singapore, Taiwan and USA to thrilling action from one of the newest Olympic sports following an agreement with the International Surfing Association (ISA).

As part of the agreement, ELEVEN has acquired highlights to the ISA’s premier events in 2017 including:

  • 2017 ISA World Surfing Games: 21-28 May 2017, Biarritz France
  • 2017 ISA World StandUp Paddle (SUP) and Paddleboard Championship: 1-10 September 2017, Vorupør & Copenhagen, Denmark
  • 2017 VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship: 23 September – 1 October, Hyuga, Japan
  • 2017 ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship: 29 November – 3 December, La Jolla, California, USA

Done with the support of the ISA’s media distribution partner, Broadreach Media, the agreement to show action from Surfing and SUP – lifestyle sports with growing levels of engagement globally – fits ELEVEN’s strategy to reach young viewers across its markets.

ELEVEN SPORTS SECURES LIVE AND EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE OF DRONE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

ELEVEN SPORTS has secured an agreement with the Drone Champions League (DCL) that will see the pioneering global broadcaster deliver LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of the remaining five events of the 2017 season.

ELEVEN SPORTS will show LIVE coverage of each event in Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and the U.S. on an EXCLUSIVE basis. The thrilling action will also be delivered to fans in Luxembourg on a non-exclusive basis.

The remaining races will take place in a mixture of stunning settings perfect for live broadcasting. They include:

  • 2 – 3 September 2017: Liechtenstein
  • 23 – 24 September 2017: Brussels, Belgium
  • 13 – 14 October 2017: Salina Turda Caves, Romania
  • November 2017: Asia (exact date and location TBC)
  • 2 – 3 December 2017: Berlin, Germany

In addition to the LIVE race coverage, ELEVEN SPORTS will also show a 26-minute magazine show linked to each round of the 2017 calendar and exclusive clips, news footage and interviews from each participating team.

ELEVEN SPORTS AGREES NEW LIVE & EXCLUSIVE EFL RIGHTS DEAL ACROSS MULTIPLE MARKETS

With two days to go to the start of the 2017/18 season, ELEVEN SPORTS has agreed a new LIVE and EXCLUSIVE rights agreement with the English Football League (EFL) for five years.

The new arrangement means that ELEVEN will continue to deliver scintillating action from the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, Sky Bet League Two and the Carabao Cup for fans in Belgium, Luxembourg and Poland.

The five-year deal follows the original two-season partnership which was agreed before the start of the 2015/16 season.

ELEVEN will show games delayed and on repeat in addition to a minimum of 55 Sky Bet Championship matches and up to 30 Carabao Cup matches exclusively live across linear and OTT channels.

“We cooperate closely with rights holders to help them connect and engage with fans in innovative ways. With under three weeks to go until the start of the 2017/18 season, ELEVEN SPORTS has entered an agreement with talkSPORT to bring EXCLUSIVE audio coverage of the English Premier League to fans in Singapore.

The agreement means that ELEVEN SPORTS will stream live audio commentary for all 380 Premier League matches in English and up to 190 matches (5 matches per week) in Mandarin commentary. The audio deal is innovative and establishes ELEVEN as the leading player and the go to destination for fans on the move seeking audio coverage of one of the world’s most coveted domestic leagues.

Premier League audio commentary has proved hugely popular globally. As well as reaching a fanbase that is not able to watch the match, audio commentary provides a unique way to experience the action, with vivid play-by-play commentary and detailed insight and analysis.

Pioneering global broadcaster ELEVEN SPORTS has agreed a deal with leading esports company Gfinity to bring LIVE and EXCLUSIVE competitive video gaming action from the Elite Series to fans across all seven of its markets.

Gfinity’s Elite Series aims be one of the most innovative, engaging, entertaining and technologically advanced esports platforms in the world, bringing together eight professional franchises competing across three games; Street Fighter V, Counterstrike:GO (CS:GO); and Rocket League.

The eight teams, which include Team EnVyUs, an American team who were recently crowned International Team of the Year at the Esports Industry Awards, and Epsilon Esports, who are Belgium based competitive gaming veterans with one of the top European CS:GO teams, face off in the Elite Series with each having drafted top amateur talent into their roster from the online Gfinity Challenger Series.

This means the very best teams and players are competing in a 7-week regular season featuring round robin league fixtures, followed by semi-finals and finals. All matches are being held at the Gfinity Esports Arena in Fulham Broadway, London.

ELEVEN SPORTS TO SHOWCASE 24 HOURS OF ZOLDER EXCLUSIVELY LIVE

ELEVEN SPORTS subscribers in Belgium and Luxembourg will have a front row seat to the prestigious 24 hours of Zolder – one of five races from the Belcar Endurance Championship that the pioneering global broadcaster will show exclusively live.

The agreement will see ELEVEN SPORTS show all five races from the Championship for the next five years. ELEVEN will also be the title sponsor for all races meaning the 24 Hours of Zolder becomes the ‘Eleven Sports 24 Hours of Zolder’. ELEVEN SPORTS branding and activations will also feature heavily at each event.

The 24 hours of Zolder – the biggest race in the series – brings together 300 drivers with the aim of completing the most laps of the Circuit Zolder in the space of 24 hours.

The driver roster includes established names such as Anthony Kumpen and brothers Koen and Kris Wauters. Multiple Tour de France stage winner and local hero, Tom Boonen, who participated in a joint press conference which included Anouk Mertens, MD of ELEVEN SPORTS in Belgium, has also made the switch from two wheels to four and will make his debut in Zolder adding some star power to the race.

In addition to live coverage of the races, ELEVEN SPORTS will provide news and updates from the drivers and teams in the lead up to each race. For the duration of the 24 hours of Zolder, fans will also be treated to top-class analysis and insight from the best commentators and pundits, bringing the viewers right to the heart of the action.

ELEVEN SPORTS has fuelled the excitement of motorsport fans in Poland by extending the agreement to show LIVE and EXCLUSIVE Formula 1® coverage across the country in a deal brokered by media rights agency MP & Silva, the rightsholder in Poland from 2014-2019.

The agreement will see ELEVEN showcase all the action from the 2018 and 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship™, complete with Friday and Saturday practice, qualifying sessions and Sunday races across every single race weekend through LIVE, delay and repeat broadcasts.

ELEVEN is currently in the middle of its second season of showcasing Formula 1® in Poland and the extension is testament to its sustained efforts to take the coverage of the sport to new levels by airing all practice and qualifying sessions in addition to live races. ELEVEN has packaged this together for the fans through high quality localised production on the ground at all races and top analysis and insight delivered by a world-class team, including the best local commentators and pundits in Poland.
