Pioneering global broadcaster ELEVEN SPORTS has agreed a deal with leading esports company Gfinity to bring LIVE and EXCLUSIVE competitive video gaming action from the Elite Series to fans across all seven of its markets.

Gfinity’s Elite Series aims be one of the most innovative, engaging, entertaining and technologically advanced esports platforms in the world, bringing together eight professional franchises competing across three games; Street Fighter V, Counterstrike:GO (CS:GO); and Rocket League.

The eight teams, which include Team EnVyUs, an American team who were recently crowned International Team of the Year at the Esports Industry Awards, and Epsilon Esports, who are Belgium based competitive gaming veterans with one of the top European CS:GO teams, face off in the Elite Series with each having drafted top amateur talent into their roster from the online Gfinity Challenger Series.

This means the very best teams and players are competing in a 7-week regular season featuring round robin league fixtures, followed by semi-finals and finals. All matches are being held at the Gfinity Esports Arena in Fulham Broadway, London.

Gfinity also has plans to extend the Challenger Series and Elite Series into new markets as part of the next stage of the development of the product. The ambition to build a series of high quality events appeals to ELEVEN’s strategy to tell a story around captivating new content which is relevant to the many esports fans in each of ELEVEN’s markets. This also presents a unique opportunity for ELEVEN to introduce fans of traditional sports to an innovative and compelling concept that is on the rise globally.

The fact that there are US and Belgian based teams and Polish players competing in the Elite Series also makes this property particularly relevant for ELEVEN SPORTS in those local markets.

ELEVEN SPORTS will show LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of the premium action starting with week three this weekend, along with preview and review shows, behind the scenes footage, documentary and magazine content and industry interviews and features.
